Chocolate protein balls

Today I’m going to share with you my chocolate protein balls recipe. I also have a peanut butter one coming up in the future. This recipe makes 12 little balls.

What do you need?

  • 10 grams of coconut oil

  • 20 grams of dark cocoa powder

  • 25 grams of protein powder

  • 10 grams of butter

  • sweetener to your taste

  • 5 grams of coconut flakes

How to make them?

Make sure you coconut oil and butter aren’t rock hard but soft at room temperature. If too hard, warm in the microwave for a couple of seconds. Then add sweetener, cocoa powder and protein powder. Mix very well. At first the mixture might seem too dry and impossible to work with but after mixing for some time it forms a nicely rollable dough. Roll into balls, the size is totally up to you. Then roll balls in coconut flakes and put into the fridge. When they are hard and set, they are done.
If you want, you can leave out some protein powder and add some almond or coconut flour. I find it gives a better, smoother texture to protein balls.

Enjoy!

What about nutrition?
