On Food Fridays I will tell you about everything I ate that day. Healthy or unhealthy: you will see it all.
Today is the day before Tartu Olümpiajooks 10K, so today I consciously tried to eat more carbs: grains and sugars. I also tried to drink more water. Gotta have some glycogen stores and stay properly hydrated for tomorrow’s race in 30 degrees Celsius.
Breakfast: 9.45 AM
-
1 carrot
-
1 small banana
-
half a cup of regular oats
-
half a cup of oat bran
-
1 cup of water
-
1 cup of milk
-
salt
-
1 teaspoon of unrefined Demerara sugar
-
dark cocoa powder
Lunch: 3.15 PM
I was outdoors all day, first on the beach and then in a park. The weather is lovely and I’m trying to spend as much time as possible outside. So I had a little picnic on the park bench. 🙂
-
2 slices of rye bread with seeds
-
1 carrot
-
2 chunks of parsnip (kaalikas)
-
1 large apple
-
1/4 cup of whole grain pasta
-
70 grams of chicken thigh meat
-
0,5 egg
-
100 grams of frozen veggie mix (cauliflower, broccoli, carrot)
-
olive oil
-
salt & pepper
-
ketchup
-
teriyaki sauce
Dinner: 7.30 PM
-
2 slices of rye bread with seeds
-
1 large slice cheese
-
1 tomato
-
200 grams of curd (kohupiim)
-
100 grams of kefir
-
1/4 cup of oats
-
2 teaspoons of unrefined Demerara sugar
-
1 small banana
-
raspberries
Hopefully enough carbs for the 10K. I’m actually pretty scared! 30 degrees and sun. It’s even tiring to walk not to mention run and furthermore: race. There are 3 drinking points but still: the heat kills you. I would like to get a personal best tomorrow but I’m not going to get my hopes too high. Wish me luck!
Next Food Friday in a week! 🙂
