On Food Fridays I will tell you about everything I ate that day. Healthy or unhealthy: you will see it all.
Today I just very busy and wasn’t feeling like weighing my food and typing everything into a calorie counting app. I don’t do that on an everyday basis, why do it for Food Fridays? I don’t think I’ll be adding nutrition information to these posts from now on. If you’re not OK with that, let me know. If people still want caloric intakes, I can post them.
Breakfast: 10.45 AM

-
half a cup of oats
-
half a cut of oat bran
-
1 cup of milk
-
1 cup on water
-
salt and 1 teaspoon of sugar
-
strawberries (actually I added about the same amount more, I just couldn’t fit them all in my bowl)
Lunch: 2.45 PM
My mom’s cooking skills are just out of this world! Old-school Estonian home cooked food rocks! 🙂 This meal might not look great but it tasted SO good. Man I really like being home at my parent’s house…

-
1 large portion of cabbage and minced meat stew
-
1,5 boiled potatoes
-
1 slice of rye bread
-
some grilled chicken breast
-
ketchup
Dinner: 7.15 PM
I thought I was really really hungry by dinnertime and set up way too much food. I ate the plate of savoury stuff but only took a couple of almonds from my desert bowl and then did something the old me would have never done: I put the desert away. I was full and didn’t want to eat any more. This intuitive eating has really sorted out psychological side of eating for me. I can have the desert tomorrow morning as a great post-workout if I want to (and if it’s still in the fridge). 😀

-
2 slices of dark rye bread
-
2 slices of cheese
-
some grilled chicken breast
-
ketchup (I’m obviously obsessed since I have it in every Friday’s menu)
-
1 slice of light rye bread
-
smoked ham (yum!)
-
1 tomato
-
1 carrot
- a few almonds
That was it for today. Maybe not the most super healthy day but I’d still say it wasn’t unhealthy either. I mean, I added a teaspoon of sugar to my porridge and ate quite a lot of bread but in my mind, that’s not unhealthy. What do you think?
As I mentioned, I was very busy and physically active today. Cycled to the city, swam, cycled back, did a ton of walking, cycled some more, foam rolled. Out of curiosity I summed upped my burnt calories. Roughly 1300 kcal burnt with just those activities today. Oh wow. I don’t even feel like I’ve worked out today. Just live an active life, avoid bus/car transportation and get fit. 🙂
Next Food Friday in a week!
