Celebration food: my birthday lunch

I’m a rather boring young person: I don’t particularly enjoy night clubs, I don’t smoke, drink or do drugs and I don’t like to party every weekend. I like to workout, spend time with family and friends, play with my dog and travel. Yes, yes, I know… Boring! 😀

So my birthday party was also a small intimate get-together with my closest family. And this year I made the same decision as last year (when I had just started LCHF): all low carb for me with some extras for everyone else.

So this is what I had on my birthday lunch table:

  • boilt veggies: cauliflower, broccoli, carrot

  • cream sauce with cheese (no flour!)

  • oven cooked salmon

  • blue and Saaremaa’s Kadaka cheese

  • good quality smoked sausage

  • cabbage and cheese salad with mayo and sour cream dressing

  • butter

  • boilt potatoes for everyone else

  • bread for everyone else

  • LCHF pumpkin cheesecake with dark chocolate (recipe is coming, I promise!)

  • water

  • coffee and tea

Everything tasted great. I also had other LCHF snacks and stuff on mind but I decided to only make these foods and not overeat. Good decision 🙂

Why should have I went off my normal wonderful tasting LCHF for MY birthday? My birthday, my choices! 🙂

Giveaway winner & I’m 22!

Hello, hello, hello!

Exactly 22 years ago today around 4 PM a dark-haired baby girl was born in Kohtla-Järve, Estonia. Later she was named Margit and now she has this weird healthy nutrition and workout blog. Today is my birthday! 🙂

I chose the 27th of February as my giveaway’s end date on purpose. I started it my healthy lifestyle birthday and ended it on my actual birthday. I didn’t have a lot of participants but some people took the chance to win some good quality coconut oil and a motivational jar.

Since I didn’t find a blog title I really loved from your comments (but there were great and funny names there, thanks for giving ideas!), I just picked a winner by random. Random.org helped my randomly generate a number. I had just 7 people to fulfill all criterias. And the winner ended up being number 2 aka Kairi Jõemaa. Congatz! I will be contacting you soon to post your prize 🙂

And with a new year in my life should have come a new blog title / name as I promised on FaceBook. But since I decided to do it in a larger scale, you are going to have to wait. I will have all of my old posts on my new website that ging up sometime soon. Since moving all of the old content to a new page is a pain in the butt, it’s going to take a lot of time.

When my new page is up and ready, I will let you know. I will also redirect links etc on the new page if I can.
